Mexico City

In the center of Mexico City lies the ruins of the pre-Hispanic Aztec capital. Spanish Conquerors destroyed the temples and built over the Aztec empire and the great temple of Tenochtitlan. The religious invasion of the Spanish Conquistadors is evident through the emaculate cathedrals that mark the cities of Mexico as well as the statues and center pieces that display prominent figures of the Catholic faith.
