About Me

I am an energetic, outgoing individual who finds solace in reading, writing, yoga and drawing. My reading and writing interests have encompassed architecture, language, art, and culture studies. Particularly, I have a deep interest in architecture as it applies to literary theory. I have studied various theoretical lenses in regards to literary application and visual communication.

Currently, my most engaging goals include becoming a fluent Spanish speaker, continuing my yoga practice and implementing drawing as a way to journal my thoughts. My experience in writing and drawing includes classes taken during my undergraduate years at NDSU as well as devising my own personal assignments. My travel experience includes studying abroad in Mexico and Costa Rica.

Future goals include obtaining my Master’s in English and gaining experience in writing and communication.

About this Site

This site includes three portfolios for the Fall 2015 semester. These portfolios were created for English 483: Advanced Writing Workshop, English 357: Visual Culture and Communication, as well as English 467: The English Capstone Experience. All of the portfolios can be found under the "English Studies" tab above. Two of the portfolios required a reflection letter that addressed how other work I have completed as an English major demonstrates course objectives 2, 5 and 6. I reference work from the other portfolios in both of my framing letters but I also include links within the online version of the letters to allow readers to navigate to my work.

I have designed this site to include my work from other other disciplines as well for potential employers to assess my  other areas of interest. These other areas include art and news writing, which are located under the "Other Works" tab. In the future, I plan to include a travel blog on this site to document my adventures.
